Not an outdoor person.. prefer to get buried beneath books, music and movies... has these strange philosophies about life that might puzzle you. At the same time, likes to live life. Loves simple people, especially those who veil their formidable knowledge behind humility (The poems here don't reflect my mind or anyone else's. Maybe, just a patch of what various people go through.)

Colour palette

A vast colour palette lies before me.

Each shade grinning and accosting to pick it up.

Some bright, some dull, but all equally alluring.

For they represent the moods that swing in and swing out.

Greys or blues, pinks or yellows, blacks or whites.

Each one profound and dandy in its own way.

Each one picture perfect, but only for the day.

When one sways in to colour my day, one walks out tired.

Each day, I wake up thinking which one would turn up to surprise me.

While I wait for one, it is the other that shows up with a wicked smile.

Spreading itself with arrogance, webbing my unguarded fort.

Reaching out to me with its sticky fingers, whether I frown or smile.

Now the surprise is almost gone, for I know it will be the unexpected.

If I want pink to colour my day, it is blues that I have to resign to.

But, I must admit that the colour palette is a huge draw.

So guess what colour would adorn my wall today?

  1. Whatever the colour, it's the painting that matters. And, you seem to be a good painter!
